Arnold's story is fictionalized in the TV series 'TURN George Washington's Spies.'

Very good show. Doesn't shy away from showing George as a slave owner.

Yeah. Haven't you ever seen a gracestone or been to a graceyard?

A great British patriot.

His motivations for becoming a turncoat were practical, not ideological

A great British patriot.

Well, the U.S. invaded Canada and he came to Canada to help repel the invasion so, perhaps he was on the side of right.

‘TURN George Washington’s Spies.’

yeah that show was entertaining, tho... it was complete BS in some historical facts, like the character John Graves Simcoe - the actor did a great job but it was all completely false, I mean at some point it just becomes misinformation. iirc there's also a scene where Washington has some kinda psychedelic trip?

However I think they did a pretty good job of showing Benedict Arnold's story.

I was certain that Simcoe was heavily fictionalized, because if the real one had been that badass the Patriots would have lost the War in 1777.

I also liked the period details, like using eggs to send messages.

In 200 years the headline will be "TIL Donald trump's grave is in an old drainage area. If he knew about this he'd be rolling in his ditch!".
