I know the subject has come up before, just wanted to add another reason to the pile. Their instance has been setting its users' post timestamps 15 minutes into the future so they'll be parked at the top of the "New" sort order for longer.

I would tag the admins to ask about this. It could be the server clock is just off although normally it would be automatically synced to the correct time so it is strange.

Agreed. Better contact them to be sure, before escalating or even going for nuclear options. At worst, if it's causing problems, a temporary defederation as contingency while the issue is resolved.

If it was almost any other instance, I'd agree. That one has a hard-earned reputation for dipshittery so I'm leaning toward the possibility that it's intentional.

It was a troll/far-right instance that did the JAQ/Sealioning thing to fly under the radar for a while which then got heavily defederated once the mask slipped and they went all in on flooding lemmy with horrible shit (it was bad enough various instance admin tools were created to combat it). Every now and again a new instance pops up doing the same kind of script and they used to end up getting defederated pretty quickly. Not confirmed, but it also looks like it's just one or a few people sockpuppeting multiple accounts to make it seem more legitimate.

This instance carries a lot of the same warning flags, but didn't get the same treatment this time round for some reason
