The worst part is 95-99% of pesticides never reach their intended target. Could you imagine filling up you vehicle with a hundred gallons of gas only to have 99 gallons just pour out as you drive.

Our agricultural system is beyond broken.

Well, about half the fuel you put into an ICE does essentially just pour out as heat and associated pollution without going beneficial work. They're ludicrously inefficient.
