it could've been if Berman was more open-minded. After The Fifth Element came out someone from the crew asked why not redesign uniforms into something slicker like Gaultier's designs for The Fifth Element and Berman said "this isn't a fashion show" even though overall uniform aesthetic of Star Trek and Fifth Element is not that far off. And then we got Battlestar Galactica that actually pulled off that aesthetic. And then we got modern trek with overdesigned uniforms so I guess Berman was partially right. |
