SourceHut will update its terms of service to prohibit original content written with or facilitating LLMs and other generative AI tools, including AI-assisted source code, tickets, and emails. The change takes effect for new projects after September 10, with case-by-case enforcement and a light touch. Existing projects that used AI may remain if they adopt future development policies consistent with the new terms.
