Bold of them to assume the US is going to have electricity in 2030.

What’s disappointing about them? Lots of great options. Many at around 30k that get 300 miles.

I mean there is a non zero chance china invades the USA and has to rebuild the mess importing Chinese cars and solar panels.

There is also non zero chance that the us does it to itself in a civil war and petrol becomes too expensive compared to solar in the aftermath.

Also a non zero chance the us sees the damage they have done to thier world wide reputation and tries to undo the damage as best they can by trying to meat climate goals

But yea realistically I'd bet on coal burning subs in 2030 after this November as the us public can't do anything good for it's own self interest and the orange turd will mandate something like that as I think he's a captain planet villain

They’re all SUVs. And they all have a giant iPad.

The rich people mostly have solar already, but their gonna have to figure out how to get their inverters to turn on without a line signal (for the majority that don’t have batteries anyway).

This is just a guess but I don't think there will be as many vehicle sales regardless of what they are. The cameras and microphones and kill switches aren't exactly anything I want in a car.

I can't express how glad I am by reading that line.

I work with people that are constantly parroting EVs are not taking off anywhere besides my own country (Portugal) and one of them has family and travels often to France and always says the french are not buying into the EVs scam.

Gets tiresome.

Unless the price of gas stabilizes, then it's back to the Canyoneros.

Why would China want to invade a country addicted to giving them money for their crap products?

I wouldn't go as far as saying the people are gaslighted as they are just being averse to change. I'll concede that much.

There are smaller options with less than 300 miles if you’d like.

The screens you can’t escape from easily, but that trend is not specific to EVs.

But they also look hideous, and have a weird, upright seat position that will murder my back, and don’t go vroom

There just the leaf left. Everything else got discontinued or turned into a larger version.

Difference is in the US the govt made chinese EV completely illegal. It should come here, it should have two years ago, but our country is currently led by a child sex trafficker so things are complicated.

Zero chance China invades the us, they just wouldn't want to do it. More likely trump attacks China to distract from the child sex trafficker ring he leads, but also for the us no actual reason to want to invade China.

But in France the government supports EVs. In US, they would ban them if it weren't for Tesla.

Are the car competitive? Dacia has been showcasing a few fully electric models here but the bulk of the EVs I'm seeing are mostly from Tesla, Volvo, Polestar, MG, KIA and Hyundai. I've even seen a fully electric Jaguar SUV. Most of these cars are in the higher price tier.

Fiat, Kona, Bolt, Ex30, etc. The discontinued models can still be gotten on the used market too.
