There used to be these websites, and I was never quite sure if they're scammy or not.
Anyhow I haven't used them for a long time.

But now I looked at my favorite airline's prices and they're somewhat higher than I remember and I wonder what's the best way to go hunting.

I'll need two flights between EU countries in a bit over one month.

TIA!

edit: Thanks. Nothing changed, except the prices overall. The cheapest flights usually involve long layovers, the known cheap-offer-sites offer the same prices as the airlines themselves. Once again, I'll just book with our regional airline because they're the only one offering non-stop flights. I'm not sitting for hours in some foreign airport if I have a few extra credits to spend on the direct flight.

I've always used supersaver.fi, mostly because I had a local (to me) company to hold responsible if a leg of my flight got cancelled or something.

Skyscanner is probably more popular.

They are higher because there's a war in Iran, and Iran is interrupting the oil trade. They won't go down before Christmas.

I'm aware.

Out of curiosity (it's not like this event can be moved to after christmas just so I can save a few credits): why do you think should prices go down after christmas?

I don’t. In the US, we tend to make contracts for oil many months in advance (6, 9, 12, etc.) So we’re not going to see price relief until a while after the issue is resolved, and that’s assuming they’re not colluding.

It’s just that Christmas is the peak travel season, and people here are very upset about flight prices in that time.
