I am pushing back on your horrid take on lawlessness. If you think my take on advocating for due process is horrid I don’t know what to tell you. (I do, but you’ve gotten worked up enough already). your creepy ass again I left one public comment in a public forum and never talked to you again. Please explain in detail how that is creepy. I can continue to not give any of your opinions weight. Y...

It was not one comment and you followed me along multiple posts.

Cry harder.

Followed? Come on, really? I saw one comment that was literally about me, and one the next day in a community I frequent because I saw you doing the exact thing I said you were doing to do.

Two posts, two different days. Then I never talked to you again until you replied to my comment here.

You really are a weird one. I’m starting to feel some tears here indeed, but not from sadness that’s for sure 😂

Stalked? Where? Please enlighten me with your definition of stalking. You’re leaving multiple comments to my one that wasn’t even a reply to you. to push that I'm a MAGA psyop Don’t tell me you actually bought that, Velma? That would be hilarious.

lol stating what you did doesn’t mean I believed you.

They are given due process, including access to lawyers, evidence, and witnesses. They're even allowed to take the case to court. All public universities are required to offer full due process when expelling students. Private universities are not required to do so because they're not run by the government.

Yeah you were pushing it multiple times. That doesn’t mean I believed your trolling attempt. Do you routinely struggle with reading comprehension?

I think a lot of people just don’t have any experience with the criminal justice system and assume that if there was no conviction he must be innocent.

The evidence that came out was more so what was damning.

Good for her

This is completely unacceptable. The fact that multiple women reported the same guy is a huge red flag

I do not. Nor am I now.

Here are the 13 possible meaning of the word “push”

  1. to apply steady force to (something) in order to move it

  2. to thrust (one's way) through something, such as a crowd, by force

  3. to apply oneself vigorously (to achieving a task, plan, etc)

  4. (tr) to encourage or urge (a person) to some action, decision, etc

  5. to be an advocate or promoter (of)

to push for acceptance of one's theories

  6. (tr) to use one's influence to help (a person)

    to push one's own candidate

  7. to bear upon (oneself or another person) in order to achieve more effort, better results, etc

she was a woman who liked to push her husband

    1. (tr) to take undue risks, esp through overconfidence, thus risking failure

      to push one's luck

    2. (intr) to act overconfidently

  8. sport to hit (a ball) with a stiff pushing stroke

  9. informal (tr) to sell (narcotic drugs) illegally

  10. (intr; foll by out, into, etc) (esp of geographical features) to reach or extend

the cliffs pushed out to the sea

  11. (tr) to overdevelop (a photographic film), usually by the equivalent of up to two stops, to compensate for underexposure or increase contrast

  12. slang to be dead and buried

Now I comprehend that you don’t mean that I was pushing a boulder or pushing drugs, and your anger makes it obvious you don’t think I was trying to help you, so I’m thinking more along the lines of #3 or #5. Now both of these, as I comprehend them, mean you take your task or theory quite seriously.

Now I don’t want to push your buttons any further and English isn’t my first language, nor my second, but I do think I have a valid point here.

Ah well, most was plagiarism anyway. A pity, you might have learned something.

Do you often struggle with longer sections? Is it because of your impaired reading comprehension?

Art is not inherently entertaining. Art can be many things. It can be something meant to invoke certain feelings, including negative ones, and it can be a commentary on something the artist finds important. Protest art falls in that category. The performance, carrying around the mattress, makes a concept that is abstracted for many people into something tangible and easy to empathize with. I'd be pretty outraged if a school forced one of its attendees to carry around that physical weight arbitrarily. I should be outraged that they're making her carry the emotional weight of attending the school alongside her rapist.

That’s why you shouldn’t let university staff do police work or become Dredd (judge, jury & executioner). Professionals have trained for years to get this stuff right but “campus police” thinks they can do it without any proper training or investigation.

"Campus Police" are regular police (for all that's worth), not rent-a-cops. Their jurisdiction is University and University-related policing. Think of the University as being its own city.

I teach nights at a university and UPD is pretty great. The city cops are very much out to get people, whereas the UPD has a very light touch. They'll bust a party with a bunch of 19yo Kids drinking too much and getting loud, and tell them to keep it down and stay safe, while offering to call a non-police volunteer to drive anyone home for free.

Parking Services (not part of UPD) can get go suck on a tailpipe though. Fuck those guys.

That’s good to hear. Maybe I shouldn’t have shat on the campus police but rather the campus staff making the decision to expel without going through the proper process.

maybe it's time to Crack open that old dictionary there chief. see what the words your mad about mean. because I have a whole ass art degree and you couldn't possible be more wrong. your take is based on nothing but pure unadulterated ignorance. art is NOT entertainment, it's expression, and the most significant art is history is about terrible things that happened to help you feel terrible about it. from Jesus being tortured to death by Roman soldiers to the Nazi war machine being tested on rural Spain for no reason in particular, art is very much allowed to be about suffering, politics, protest, and criticism of horrifying acts. stop being proud that your ignorant, learn something, or if you REALLY INSIST on being this ignorant on purpose, STOP TAKING ABOUT THE SHIT YOU CLAIM YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT

Obviously being raped is worse. I’m not trying to start a competition or shouting match here. My point is solely and entirely about the basic human right of due process: anyone should be considered innocent until proven guilty, no matter the gender or crime. That doesn’t mean don’t believe the accuser, but it means really take the charges seriously, investigate the crime to the best of your sys...

No, innocent until proven guilty is only the bar for the government to lock you up in a cage. It's impossible for anyone to live their life using that standard.

No charges were ever filed against Paul Nungesser. Columbia University found him not responsible in their inquiry, NYPD declined to charge him, and the district attorney said there was no reasonable suspicion.

Nungesser did end up suing the school for a Title IX violation and they settled out of court.
