__ AND __

Requires "both terms to be "present" in some aspect of the result

Hoping someone can clarify but it seems like +easier way to say the term its next to must be present in the results fetched

Firstly, your title isn't actually a question just because you added a question mark to the end of a sentence.

Secondly, which Search Engine are you using?

Thirdly, do you just not bother searching for answers before you post all these questions?

All you have to do is test them with your search term to get to the results you actually wanted.

Because its actually more interactive and likely to be absorbed by me and hopefully anyone else who drops by.

Is there an actual convention Im unaware of, I get the whole "googled it for you" schtick but its sort of getting a bit gauche. Im not polluting or spamming or doing anything untoward, I understand sometimes my questions can seem on the farside or whatever but as far as Im aware odd questions that are genuine and that I prove with my engagement are not verboten. I'm respectfully not really open to rehasing or seeking edification on this point, respectfully

If im actually breaking a rule rhen rule on it. Otherwise, im not going to be receptive to that particular species of message.

Not sure how the Lemmy blocking system works but maybe people should just block me ig

just cuz you add a ? does t make it a question

Cmon friend, this is the peak of pedantcery, its obviously a question. We're better than this, i cant even take it seriously; its kinda letter-wise (is that the right word... yet beyond spirit-foolish

Whats next, you gonna ban Advent Calendars cuz you could just go buy a dang chocolate bar??

Those of us, doing fuck all to answer your own questions is also rather gauche.

I don't think I'd agree with this assessment. You're regularly posting questions you could have answered easily enough on your own.

I understand sometimes my questions can seem on the farside or whatever but I'm respectfully not open to edification on this point.

Too bad? You don't get to choose who answers your questions. If you don't want interactions where people are curt in their replies, don't ask questions you could have easily answered without asking the ether.

Otherwise, im not going to be receptive to that particular species of message.

Again, that's entirely on you. No one cares what you will or won't be receptive to.

"Advanced search operators or Tricks that give you super granular results." is simply not a question, the addition of a question mark does not make it so. To phrase it as a question, you should really be using the language in a way that portrays that.

"What are some advanced search operators for XYZ SEARCH ENGINE, that can help with search results that are too varied?" I'm confident you can see the difference, I'm also confident you simply don't care.

There you go again, you're still misapprehending why I post or ask stuff here. Dont you think I know I can just use Opus or StackOverflow or like go to the library (not saying these things are equal but Im trying to make a point here), thats never been the point.

I feel like you have some weird lazyness or protestant work ethic bullshit thats polluting your thinking but its not applicable here. Its actually easier for me to do those things but I prefer this medium for reasons entirely unrelated to effort if that makes sense. I dont particularly care if it makes sense to you so its definitley mutual

You can negatively answer and engage the shit out of every darn thing I post, it ultimately makes little difference to me. I will learn to filter out the noise and get to the valuable signal, as I'm wont to do. There you go, I'm feeding you lines now, you're welcome ;)
