The first movie was funny, the second movie was rough (and even Seth admits it), but the live action TV series was excellent. It looks like the animated series is the same creative team as the live action, and I hope they bring in the live action TV characters into this new show at least a little bit.

The trailer shows an anvil dropping on John, which is very cartoony and I think a mistake. The fun of Ted is that it was the real world and Ted was the sole bit of magic (if you've watched the series you know this isn't a strict rule, but is generally true).

Generally I've enjoyed most of Seth's projects so I'll give it a watch. And of course like any post about Seth MacFarlane, please just make a new season of The Orville.

Why though?

Or, right.

As long as we are willing to watch remakes/reboots and slop- why should they bother creating new IP.

This is the future of entertainment folks: welcome to everything that has already been created. If it looks familiar it’s because it is.
