This was a gift for a friend who had just lost a family member. I just found out today that she said it was amazing. Only been baking bread for about 3 weeks and only our second time making this. My partner gets 80% of the credit.

Looks delicious! Beautiful braid, and I can smell it from here. Such a kindness for your friend.

Just a thought since you're new to bread baking; your oven may run a little hotter than you set the dial to. A few degrees cooler for a little longer might give the valleys a chance to brown more by the time you get that perfect color you have on the hills.

Do you knead the dough by hand for every loaf you bake?

Thank you! I'm also new to electric appliances. Always grown up with gas.

First one we did, the rest we start with a mixer and go by hand towards the end because everything I've been told is, you need to feel it. I think I'm 4 in now and I'm starting to understand what that means but, not fully lol
