There is no greater treachery than this failure to face up to the climate crisis. How can we now fend off despair?

Surely a better investment would be helping to reskill and redeploy the workers who would be otherwise impacted by the mine closure than seeing another 809 million tons of CO2 sent into the atmosphere. But of course that isn't profitable right now so we'll burn the future to the ground instead.
