one of the minor reasons i left texas was because chicago had so many more examples of architecture like this that wasn't reserved for commercial use -- my apartment building is like this.

i'm surprised to learned that anywhere in texas has such residential buildings -- assuming that those are curtains in the windows instead of office blinds.
