Apologies for the wait, but this turned out to be a massive update. This update adds post and comment templates. Templates are meant to be a way to reduce post/comment friction when certain posts/comments all follow some pattern. Now you can save those patterns and re-use them easily. They are sort of like drafts but meant to be more persistent. The main reason why this update ended up being a huge amount of work is the amount of new screens this feature added. This resulted in a lot of mauling over different UI designs before finally deciding on a good design. Probably 1.5 weeks were spent on just thinking about UI design. The update also required a large amount of new code so there is that as well. There is a 2nd big feature I'd like to introduce as well, this one might be a more controversial so I made sure to make this feature opt-in and also basically hidden unless you want to use it. It's the addition of the AI image detector. This feature lets users check for AI signals in an image to determine if an image is likely AI generated. The approach taken has a low false-positive rate in exchange for a higher false negative rate (ie. images determined to be AI generated are extremely likely to be AI generated while images determined not to be AI generated might not always be correct). This feature uses Open AI's content provenance API (it's what powers https://openai.com/research/verify/). Unfortunately this API has a low rate limit meaning to use it you will need to provide your own API key. You can get one for free and instructions are provided in the app. The AI image detector is hidden by default, in order to enable the feature, you will need to navigate to Settings > Misc > Enable OpenAI tools and paste your Open AI API key into the app. Once you've done this, long pressing/tapping the more button on an image will expose a new option: "Check AI usage". If anyone has any feedback about these new features please let me know in the comments. Full changelog

Additional info regarding AI image detection with SynthID: https://redlib.catsarch.com/r/isthisAI/comments/1uin017/psa_synthid_what_is_it_how_do_i_check_and_what/ I wonder if the "Check AI usage" button could include an information window on how it works and how one can check for Google's version too? |

I don't think it needs any permissions. |

Thanks. You have to pick an option, I picked read only and it seems to be working. |
