I can't find my handkerchief that I use to clean my glasses. I hate dirty lenses and my handkerchief is a comfort item. I don't like not having it. And now I will obsess about my missing handkerchief.

This post is for casual conversation if you don’t feel like making a post of your own.

I have been awake all night playing Dressmaker and I haven't slept and I have to do so many chores today ooooh nooooooooo

However. I am on the machine. So. Have a dress.

The smoke sauna project, which has taken 3 summers already, is finally finished and we did a test burn today. Sauna didn't catch fire and there was only a minor explosion so everything went better than expected. Tomorrow we'll heat it properly. I also built a fire pit for a bonfire. There are no neighbours present so didn't need to communicate with anyone apart from my SO, also it's completely dark outside as no lights are on so even the milkyway is visible!

What a nice day!

Empathy about the handkerchief. I have a microfibre cloth I got in 2012 that works so well and if I ever misplace it I lose my fucking mind.

Anecdote: I went to a rural village fair today and was looking at the antique tractors. My spouse remarked in one of the vehicles, "Is that military?" I look up and without thinking I say, almost automatically, "yes it's a howitzer" and go back to paying attention to whatever it was I was paying attention to. A moment later I'm like, "how the fuck do I know that? Oh yes the autism" (this is a joke)

Anyways, I know we use sonic the hedgehog as a "prerequisite" but we really ought to expand that to what sometimes feels like a collective unconscious encyclopedic knowledge of military hardware. When I made that comment, in jest, to my spouse he got a little defensive and said we needed to add Greek/Roman mythology and history too. I guess he felt left out 😅

You are brave and I wish you success.

It's such a lovely game! My only wishes are "dear lord placing accessories is a nightmare".

Guess it's mostly one wish!

I cannot rub anything on my glasses. All I see is grime steaks and scratched lenses.

I look for those foam soap on public restrooms, the ones that leave your skin super dry. They're the best for washing the lenses. Then rinse with water and gently pat it dry with a paper towel.

And then cream on the hand.

I work in some dirty environments... And I sneeze a lot, so I have to have it to get things off when I can't get to a sink.
