Uh huh. If someone in your life fucked up royally or their kids did and they told you they’d do better but wouldn’t be more specific about how when asked, you can just expect more of the same. They’re asking the kids/young adults to be more personally responsible but they aren’t setting up a solid public facing system to keep the leadership accountable, to account for their own responsibility. This isn’t a new issue, so acting shocked and disappointed while doing nothing new will just being more of the same.

It’s classic academics. They’ll form committees, have an open forum or town hall, take feedback, form more committees, just look busy while failing to address the actual issue. Maybe someone towards the top resigns (unlikely) but then the rest just sort of coalesce T-1000 style to keep everything the same.

And by serious look I'm sure they mean they'll stare for twenty seconds (or more!) with their brows furrowed then move on to their next sport game.
