The peculiar durability of Medicare for All as an American political fantasy comes partly from the assumption that history is a long escalator moving steadily upward, and that if citizens simply stand on it long enough they will eventually arrive in Denmark.

Slow clap

Just saw Rahm Emmanuel on Meet The Press, saying that he intends to run for President, while also making it clear that Medicare 4 All is impossible, and thinks allowing older workers in their 50s to "buy into" Medicare early is the solution. He's also going to make America a vassal state to Israel.

And they wonder why the Democratic party has a lower approval rating than the Republican party.

We can blame Obama.

The ACA is the reason I've had health insurance so far, so yeah definitely Obama's fault people believe it is possible for the situation to improve

The proper wording is “thanks, Obama” to avoid sounding like a person against socialism. ;)
