What does "36th First Annual" even mean? They've done it 35 times, and this is the first time it's annual? Or if it's the 36th annual event, what is "First" about it? Edit: It seems this is the first event hosted in Europe, and for the last 35 years its been hosted in the US. I guess that makes sense |

The IG Nobel Prize is satire. Many aspects of the ceremony are excentric and/or humorous. All of the 36 ceremonies were the first annual ceremony. That's just the way it is. Enjoy the show. |
