US is far behind in hypersonic missile technology to both Russia and China. The US has no such technology. The difference comes to missile defense. Iran's hypersonics got through "best defense at full readiness in the world"

This is a well written piece worth reading through for understanding US corruption in military procurement in general.

Context of escalating Ukraine war with US maned/logistics land launched Tomahawks is that no one does great in a missile war, but the west, specifically, is ill equipped.
