If the price increases due to the extreme leveraging to make this 'deal' go through, I will be cancelling my subscription to HBO

Already, the company has managed to bring together the tech stacks of Paramount+, BET+ and Pluto TV, a shift that subscribers and viewers do not notice. Ellison credited “the way AI technology and other things have progressed” for providing a boost to that process.

This is the most managerial statement of "AI does nothing" that I have ever read. I knew it was bullshit, but to read it is a whole new level.

In much of continental Europe we have Sky Showtime, which is a Paramount-Universal partnership. It's not the best platform, but it's the cheapest and still doesn't have account sharing issues. It's the last platform I have left. Does anyone know what's going to happen with it? I haven't read anything about it anywhere.

You should be cancelling it anyway since it'll be run by an Ellison.

Based on what I'm seeing from my ex-colleagues at WBD... WB/D is taking over the streaming business.

So expect all the account locking and whatnot to come to Sky Showtime too.

He's trying to justify uses for his dad's data centers that Oracle is having trouble affording.
