I like a lot of what absurdism is, but I think some use it to excuse anti-social behavior. The rules are made up and the universe isn't fair or rational, so why shouldn't I act in my own interests, always? What those making that argument fail to realize is that it's in one's best interest to act pro-socially. It is in one's best interest to support others in one's community, even at one's own expense, because everyone benefits when society prospers. If everyone chooses only themselves, you end up with radically individualist societies where the poor and disadvantaged are left in an endless cycle of poverty.

We should not see that the rules are made up and the points don't matter and simply stop there, giving in to selfish individualism. If nothing holds intrinsic meaning and value, then we decide what holds value. We can choose to help each other and improve society, not because it's intrinsically moral, but because we would wish to receive that same aid were our positions exchanged. Those with privilege should use it to the benefit of society. Those without privilege should support each other, not use each other as stepping stones or pull up the ladder behind us.
