I love that they use Tom Baker in the photo for this story! He’s my favorite doc.

I still think it would be smarter to wait a few more years before trying another reboot of this property though.

I definitely have fond memories of tom. If for nothing else, as a child of the 70s he was our doctor. Actually him and Sylvester both. And that foppish dandy Pertwee was memorable too.

But yes, a break isn't the worst idea. Though I suspect even this bid would not be in production and airing next year. We're probably few years away. Which could be enough. But I definitely would like to see a rework of the overall format. Perhaps a return more to Classic and expanding more on the concepts as the classic series did. Not having everything combined to a single episode nearly as much as new who.

But seeing the state the series was left and it's definitely going to take a Hail Mary rework. But it is an excellent opportunity to shake up what the franchise has become.

Agreed, just let it rest for a while. It doesn't need to be 15 years again, but it could be good to wait at least 5.

Fun fact! They put out a little Doctor Who skit for the Commonwealth Games a couple of months ago, and Sylvester McCoy has a cameo in that. So technically he's the incumbent on-screen Doctor again lol.
