Honestly the incompetence is to use UPS in the first place. Why not use the military to transport it, why not a contract carrier, why not USPS, why not some guy named Bob that everybody trusts? |

I once received part of a jet engine from FedEx by accident. Shit happens. Still baffled why we would ship fighter jet parts via a public parcel carrier though. |

Honestly the incompetence is to use UPS in the first place. Why not use the military to transport it, why not a contract carrier, why not USPS, why not some guy named Bob that everybody trusts?
UPS is the contract carrier. The usps isnt equipped for freight delivery. |

Military success is a question of supply chain and logistics. The US Military outsources (some) logistics to UPS. Make of that what you will. |

UPS is the contract carrier. The usps isnt equipped for freight delivery.

Same reason there aren’t enlisted folk staffing every DFAC and cooking actual food, it’s contracted out to “save money” and line someone’s pockets along the way. |
