Honestly its kinda messed up how AI companies have managed to squirrel away from possibly the single biggest copyright infringement scandel in history, yet the Internet Archive gets attacked every time to so much as tries to preserve and make information available to people.

Amazing what a trillion dollars of investment will do.

The law is made for us, not for them. Another item on the "IP is bullshit" list.

A majority of the US supreme court is openly taking bribes. Until that ends and all of their rulings over turned due to the stank of corruption our entire legal system should only be viewed as the punchline of a very unfunny joke.

I mean they're getting away with it everywhere else too, not just America. The US supreme court is corrupt as hell, but (to oversimplify) laws are in general meant to empower and protect rather than restrain the ruling class.

What's worse is that they have been destroying rare and old books for this. There are tools to preserve and record but these companies don't care.
