Many of these newly registered voters are Democrats at 2,745, according to the data, but 141 registered as Republicans and 162 registered as socialists, meaning 21 more people registered as socialists than Republicans.

I mean, that makes sense...

Not many people are registering to vote so they can support Republicans right now...

We tell them by creating massive anti-socialist propaganda campaigns, running them out of the country by destroying their livelihoods, and then going around the world mass murdering leftists. Anyone who think socialism is gaining a foot hold is bonkers. The US would gladly nuke itself to stop it without thinking twice.

assuming not satirical...those people opposing socialism have led it to shit for those decades, to a point where the propaganda can no longer hold the illusion that right-wing politics are for the people. The trouble is that the USA only has a far-right party and a centre-right party, so socialists won't get much representation unless they're willing to start something new. The DSA wing is a decent start.
