If capitalism can be understood as a mode of production, then...

...liberalism can be understood as a mode of ownership over said mode of production, and...

...fascism can be understood as a mode of violence that protects said mode of ownership.

You stack them underneath each other like that, and they really start complementing each other, don't they?
