One time there was a female cat in the neighborhood I grew up in. She gave birth to 2 of my cats from my childhood and teenage years.

When we first found her, even after we found homes for her babies, she was a nice kitty, always eager to receive butt pats and head pats. But then one day she stopped coming near us and would hiss any time she made eye contact with us. It was sad.

I'm always content to admire such beauty from a distance, and offer treats from a distance too if possible.
