I like the implication back then of the seated girl smiling at her, with the advertisers thinking "yes! let's try and appeal to young women so that might join".... but with today's sensibilities hinting that she might just want to join the mile high club.

Also the only other person you can see is a grumpy old man, so not sure what the messaging is

I think the messaging is if you're gay and need an excuse to get away from your mandatory husband, being an airline stewardess is a great life!
