You should start a new community where you highlight a new one every day and tell us why you recommend it.

This isn't "lesser known communities that need a spotlight", this is "new communities".

We could definitely do that over in !communitypromo@lemmy.ca, especially if someone is willing to help plan that out. Since Piefed has scheduled posts, it should be possible to schedule out posts for different communities

As someone who's subbed there, I'd rather not get spammed by a bot...

I was thinking manually written and scheduled posts, the only difference from now being that a post gets pinned on a particular day

Although someone would also need to make a judgment call about what community to give that extra promotion to, which might create unnecessary controversy
