Furries act like they are reasonable people online then come up with this shit. What the fuck are you on?
What an odd question, given that you are replying to exactly what they are on. |

My family's motto growing up was "Eat all mistakes." It mostly applied to not wasting food, even if you messed it up. So when I baked cookies in the oven after my mom made a roast, but forgot to turn the temperature down and burned the shit out of them, I had to eat them all. Stuff like that. It really taught me to pay more attention, and appreciate when food was good, even if it wasn't my favorite. Nowadays I use it for a lot of things - if I decide to watch a show that ends up not being great, I'll eat my mistake and finish the season before dropping it. If I start a hobby that I end up not being as motivated to do as I initially thought I'd be, I eat my mistake and use up the materials I bought before stopping. It both gives me an opportunity to make sure I really don't like something before I give up on it, and also trains me to not dive too deep into something before I know whether I'm going to enjoy it. |

Savory flavors, OTOH... Garlic and Caramelized Onion coffee. Mmm mmm mmm! ๐คค
Nurse? Nurse! They've escaped again. Yes, you'd better bring the dried frog pills and the big net, but maybe we can tempt them back with the smell of shudder garlic and caramelized onion coffee. |

I fuck with this hard. I always pick weird foods when I go to a new restaurant, stuff that I don't know what I'm getting, and if it's bad I eat it, if it's good I eat it. I live with the consequences, and as a consequence of that, I have found some amazing meals and foods that I never would have eaten if I hadn't experimented.
I live with the consequence of buying two drinks, usually. Maybe not with $45 meals. |

I mean...fully carmalized onions are pretty sweet. They take something like an hour to make, but if you added a cheese foam to the coffee, you could have a really interesting, earthy drink. It would still taste like shit, but it would be interesting.
Bro just drink something else. Maybe a broth. |

2nded. I usually don't try sample ice cream flavours, I just pick something new. If it sucks, it sucks, whatever.
Me neither, I just pick chocolate. I related hard to Troi. |

I think, maybe, if you could put a really small amount of citrus it would work. It works for Picard. Like squish an orange peel over the beans type of thing. I think I'm going to try it. |

The thing is, some light roasted single-origin coffees can be fruity in flavour without adding anything, and theyโre delicious.
In particular, blueberry is a highly sought after tasting note in Ethiopian coffee. But Ethiopian coffee hasnโt been as good as it was 10 or so years ago unfortunately. |

There was a coffee shop in Pensacola, FL called Leisure Club that had an orange latte. Shit was absolutely amazing. They made their own syrup for it, so idk what the secret was, but I was there all the time until I finished college. |

Yeah, a bit of orange peel squish. I can kind of more smell it than taste it in the back of the throat, but it sort of brightened the whole coffee. Not bad. I tried this with and iced coffee with sweetened oat milk. I may try it again. Really need to try it right next to some regular to see if I can actually tell it's there or not. |

At a similar age I was at a buffet restaurant with some friends and had a similar thought about 7-up and chicken noodle soup. That restaurant must have fucking hated us. |

"i am living with the consequences" goes hard. major personal accountability. I respect it. props to OOP for extending mercy too tho.
I mean, living with the consequences doesnโt mean you have to drink it. Having to buy a second drink that you know you like is still living with the consequences. |

my amazing surprise recommendation doesn't seem that crazy but the summer before last a new ice cream parlor opened up next to my favorite sushi place and i decided i'd get a little treat after my lunch. i had the wild idea of making not a rootbear float nor an orange creamsicle float but a bizarre fruity bastardization float with rainbow sherbet in this locally bottled lime soda. it looked rad...
good work, I was terrified for the rest of the comment after you mentioned sushi right after ice cream |

My hypothesis is this is tolerable for iced coffee but it would be too much with hot coffee. I feel like the scent alone would be too strong. |

Any amazing recommendations? Anything horrible to avoid? I would love to hear your experiences
Normally at Vietnamese restaurants I'd always get a bahn mi, hard to go wrong with a delicious tasty sandwich, but I decided to try the pho. Pho is a soup made with raw meat in hot broth. It looked mildly unappetizing when I first got it, but it was one of the best meals I'd ever had in my life. Maybe it's more commonplace now, but where I lived, there was only one Vietnamese restaurant in like a 20 mile radius, so it was completely new to me. Also, Egyptian food, I found a place called kebab in Portland when I was driving through on vacation one year, and I stopped there because they said they serve Egyptian food and I've never had Egyptian food. The food I picked was called chicken kusharia. It was grilled chicken with a tamarind sauce on top of a bed of rice and a slightly crunchy chickpeas. The dish had the aroma of patchouli, which is not something I associate with food. It was an experience. From the very first bite, it was like I was very present in the moment. Each and every single bite had a new flavor, a new twist to it. There was like lemon juice and lime juice and side salad and one of the best hummus sides I've ever had in my life. If I just stuck with plain, ordinary fast food because I was on vacation, I never would have gotten to experience that. |

I love that matcha is more widely available but maybe Dunkins matcha means that itโs too widely available? Dunkins can be trusted with few things, flavored iced coffee, iced tea โฆ. I think thatโs it. They donโt even make good donuts anymore, unless you go to the ONE TRUE DUNKINS that still makes donuts in house. |

I agree with you, but with shows I would say they already eat too much time so I learned to trust my gut, if it is bad after one or two episodes, I will waste my time with something else. Maybe that's also why in general I avoid shows in recent years. I prefer self-contained content. A series were every episode is its own thing with little or no overarching plot line. Like Columbo series which I love. |

It sure is. Reading this while eating a bit of Lindt Excellence - 70% cacao with sicilian orange... You don't really feel the orange, to be honest. But you get little nuggets of the fruit amidst the bitterness. Delish ! |
