Just to be clear:

• there’s no ceasefire - this is just orangeboi trying to manifest it into being by just declaring that it’s a thing.
• the only real motivation orangeboi has for doing this is to try to juice public opinion before the midterms
• Russia is definitely gonna lob some missiles at Ukraine between now and the election
• I would be unsurprised if Orangeboi uses any retaliatory measures from Ukraine as grounds for trying to cut them off from aid, and he’ll probably try to strong arm EU/NATO countries on that front too

It’s so, so tiresome that fucking zero journalistic outfits, after well over a decade of the fuckwit being a depressingly major politician, treat his extremely predictable and emblematic behaviors and motives as utter shocks every time they directly impact a situation.

You’re not allowed to be surprised by any of this at this point. If you are, you’re an idiot. If you’re a journalist that’s expressing surprise, you are, at best, an extremely useful idiot.
