I imagine most (if not all) of my traffic will be from foreign instances, and probably for a good while, too. So, to those just stopping by, how are ya? And if you're willing to hang out a bit longer, what do you think the Fediverse is missing? There's a lot of nature and animal stuff on r1b.it now, but that's just what I like. What about you? What are your untapped interests?

I'm in the US, hello! My interests are freaking everywhere 🤣 I just started following !cooking@lemmy.world that's been fun. I follow most of the cute animal communities. I follow a fair amount of tech communities as well as gardening, environmental, some gaming, home brewing, bread making, art and probably a bunch of others I can't think of.

I'm right there with you, lol. I have a LOT of hobbies. I've definitely got enough Lemmy content for the technical ones, lol. Though, I love writing and worldbuilding stuff, too, and communities for those exist, but they sadly aren't very active. I of course like nature and wildlife if you couldn't tell from the direction r1b.it is going. If you like cute creatures, check out !herps@r1b.it ;) -- they may not be fluffy, but they sure as hell are cute!

Have you found any good gardening communities? I'd love to check them out

Beehaw has a couple I can't think of off the top of my head right now and I run !nolawns@slrpnk.net (I'm the founder of the reddit one if you were ever there) which isn't super active but our wiki is impressive if I do say so myself.

Hell yeah! It's crazy how a sub I made on a whim because of someone else's comment on an ask reddit post has gotten so huge. My last therapist about shit her pants when I casually mentioned I'm the one who started it. Apparently she subs too 😂

It most certainly can be! Our niches definitely overlap. I spent a lot of time on mander, so it was a real shame to see it go. I hope to see it back up and running soon
