Steps to reproduce:

login to riseup.net webmail.
select multiple messages (either control-click each or shift-click on a range)
right-click » more » download » Mbox format (.zip)
on the CLI, do zcat -cd $zipfile | dos2unix > my.mbox

Open my.mbox in a text editor or mail client and notice that the last two characters are missing from most messages in that file, except perhaps the last message.
