Since I took a screenshot from this movie for the sub header I figured I should probably create a post for it.

Videodrome (1983) follows Max Renn (James Woods), the owner of a UHF cable network who becomes fixated on a pirate channel that features snuff films. He makes an appearance on a local talk show opposite Nicki Brand (Debbie Harry), a radio show host who is similarly fixated on violence, and the two become romantically entangled. As Max Renn continues getting closer to the source of Videodrome, his grip on reality starts to unravel. The movie has the plot of a film noir with a slight cyberpunk aesthetic alongside Cronenberg's trademark fleshiness and sexuality.

Don't be afraid to let your body die.

I got the Criterion 4k release of this recently but haven't watched it yet, waiting for the perfect mood.

One of my top ten fave movies of all time. Maybe top five. Yeah it's a little dated, but that adds to the effect.

I was such a naive kid when I first saw this. I was like: "so what's The New Flesh? are they gonna show it? Or maybe in a sequel? or maybe... oh... OH!!!"
