I had an old bed sheet that I decided to repurpose. With my kid, I turned it into a mask and a tote bag so far. I am also vaguely planning a “papageno costume” just because. Where I live w we don’t celebrate Halloween, so it’s going to be unused until Carnival.

I tried drawing something for Inktober last week:

This was for day 9, “Ram”. I tried using the watercolor brushes in Procreate for the first time but I didn’t quite get the hang of them. The colors were super pale and there was very little contrast, plus layering and mixing was very difficult for me. Giving it a dark background made it a bit better.

I wanted to do something for every day of Inktober, but I’ve not been doing well recently so I didn’t manage any other day so far…

Started making some (as of yet very vague) plans for NaNoWriMo - well, fediwrimo, really.

Also, blew the dust off one of the writing tool software packages I made long time ago and started modernising it. (It's a Java program I made way back. It's been stuck in a rewrite limbo for a decade. Finally figured out I should probably just fix the old code instead.)

That sounds like it was a fun craft day for you both :)
