  • Brush: Ever-Ready - 400 w/Motherload 30mm Synthetic
  • Razor: Worcester Razor Co. - 6/8 Half Hollow (10)
  • Lather: Williams - Mug Soap - Soap
  • Post Shave: Stirling Soap Co. - Varen - Aftershave
  • Post Shave: Zingari Man - The Stargazer - Aftershave Serum

A very meh shave today. Williams was great, of course, but this razor needs a refresh.

Buddies with /u/eldrormr today, so I used a brush that he "assembled". I would have used the MM24 today too, but I was in the mood for a straight razor. In hindsight, the MM24 would have been a lot better!

October 14th, 2026: Accountabilibuddies!

  • Brush: Chisel & Hound "Waterlily" - Chisel & Hound v29 Fanchurian 26mm Badger
  • Razor: EldrormR Industries MMTech
  • Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium (3)
  • Lather: Moon Soaps - Astoria - Soap
  • Post Shave: Stirling - Cypress - Aftershave
  • Post Shave: Oleo & Co. - Facial Toner - Toner
  • Fragrance: Stirling - Varen - EdT

Theme justification - Shaving with Astoria today with my accountabilibuddies u/kerblimeyskal and u/Allisnotwellin (I think?). If I remember I'll add links to their posts later today.

Relevant Post Shave or Frag - Cypress and Varen both link directly to Astoria thematically. Astora is aquatic/woodsy with a nice cypress note, Cypress smells like cyprus trees, and Varen brings the oakmoss, vetiver and cedar. A very woodsy progression.

Daily gratitudes:

  • u/eldrormr for creating the MM24 and my MMTech. I love the restoration work you do, and you're a heckin' nice guy to boot.
  • @BossHoggins10@wetshav.ing thank you for keeping up updated on your alleged eagle sightings.
  • @loudmusicboy@wetshav.ing for a great blind date this year.
  • u/kerblimeyskal for helping me score a Blackland Sabre.
  • u/shavinginct for enabling my TI Blackbird purchase.
  • @merikus@wetshav.ing for all of his time and effort spent on the portal.
  • @walden@wetshav.ing for running the waldenverse and creating/maintaining SDS.
  • u/priusaurus for always showing humility.
  • u/whosgotthepudding for running the most prestigious LG challenge.
  • @djudges for organizing, judging, and managing all of this nonsense.

$FOF - This progression was excellent. Astoria does a good job capturing the feeling of being in a Pacific Northwest evergreen forest. I mostly get Cypress, Fir, Eucalyptus, Mint, and a bit of general woodiness. The Cypress splash leans into the evergreen feel and mixes with the dank, oakmoss heavy Varen to create a lovely sense of being in a deep forest.

I very much enjoyed this shave.
