99.9999% of the population never bother to read the fine print before signing or clicking "i agree" so using this as a reflection of their characters seems misguided.

He has already worked with DW before, willingly, so most likely knows and doesn’t care. It's wayyyy more common than you think for elderly actors. There are definitely some agents that should be jailed for elder abuse.

things might be better if job contracts were a thing here and the only employment term we have here is "be lucky"

so walk away and get sued, or stop working if you cant fully understand the jobs you take or get a better contract that lets you leave.
