From Edwin Martinez

What a way to finish an incredible Ecuador photography tour-143 species photographed, including 49 species of hummingbirds.

As the tour comes to an end, I can't help but look back at the incredible landscapes and wildlife this country has to offer.

One of my target species was the Sword-billed Hummingbird-one of the most unique hummingbirds, in my opinion. Its bill is actually longer than its body, an incredible adaptation that allows it to feed from flowers with exceptionally long corollas.

Seeing and photographing this bird in the wild was definitely one of the highlights of the trip.
