I wouldn’t call what is happening development.

Ai is dumb as shit and hyped beyond it’s usefulness.

Most adults have no idea how AI is developing nor how it should be regulated.

It's not that it's developing fast, it's that the infrastructure rollout is fucking terrible.

The chatbots themselves are still mostly useless.

More like unregulated and environmentally dangerous.

I'd be fine with it if;

• they minimized enviromental impact
• wasn't explicitly powered by the theft of intellectual property, which especially hurts since they basically legalised said theft for companies, so we have a double standard for the rich essentially ratified into law.
• it was implemented where it was actually useful and not shoved into places it has no place being
• it didn't log and share enough user data to be another surveillance adjacent service.
• the entry level workers it replaced were provided the tools to switch specialties.

The real problem with 'AI' is feckless short-sighted jackels. Which in and if itself is just an extension of capitalism.
