This looks vaguely like boletes but I'm absolutly unqualified to recognise mushrooms.

Guys! I just saw that kind of haul IRL. Someone just hoped on public transport with a huge bag of mushrooms. To bad I didn't get a chance to ask for its spot or foraging advice..

I'm no forager and don't know the details to this pick, but isn't it frowned upon to harvest so much and not forge in moderation?

It depends on how much there is.

Recently, I've picked hazelnut enough to cover twice that table. I left plenty on the ground. Now, once the involucre, bad nuts and shells where remove, I have want cover a fifth of the table and got to share btw 10 house. Not that much. Plus hazel don't disapeare if you don't live some nut on the floor and I believe the underground part of the fungus either when you pick all the mushrooms.

The mushroom is just the fruiting body. The rhizome is still safely underground. So pick away.

These look like birch boletes or maybe even porcini mushrooms, very common in German and polish forests

This pic is the most "Eastern Europe" pic as it gets.

Yep, I think you are supposed to leave some to the people foraging after you.

Besides, it's not like you can eat mushrooms all day, because they have poor nutritional value. So it's rather a luxury than essential food for survival.

But hey, at least it seems they were cutting the stem rather than pulling the mushroom from the ground, so the mycelium should be safe.

Does they look similar for someone who don't know mushrooms? I felt there was a different color closer to the man or closer to the camera but I thought it was the lighting.

Yeah that's just the light.
