piefed-rs is a port of rimu/pyfedi to Rust (Axum + sqlx) that tracks upstream at the behaviour level rather than the framework level: the same schema, the same routes, the same ActivityPub inbox and outbox rules — the signature checks, the report and modlog paths, the hot-ranking formula — so a real fediverse client can talk to it and a peer can federate with it without knowing it isn't Python, and the backend is at feature parity with upstream main. The frontend is not: it's a wasm demo that renders, posts, and looks like an unfinished sketch of an interface rather than an interface, and it should be treated as exactly that — bring your own client, hit the API, or send patches, because the interesting half is done.
