tinyfeed is a CLI tool that generates a webpage from a collection of feeds. It's dead simple: no database, no config file, just a CLI and some HTML. This release focuses on making tinyfeed a more stable and deterministic program. A stable experience is always better for users, and it also allowed us to design a new snapshot-based test suite, so regressions are much less likely to slip through. It also included a bunch of fixes related to the Main items on the menu today:
And the cherry on top: tinyfeed now publishes an Atom feed, so you can follow its releases! WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS EARLIER? A FEED FOR TINYFEED! AI Disclosure:

I'm honestly just impressed that you have an AI disclosure and share how you use it. That's a great idea and I hope more people do similarly. I'm also saving this to check out later, sounds neat! |

It's rule 8, if they don't follow it, their post should be deleted. Personally, I feel like accounts should be outright banned for failing to disclose, because it's not fair to put such overdue burden on the moderators to try to figure out whether something is AI generated if they're not going to disclose. |

Ohhh I forgot I'm following 2 self host communities, my bad. The other one doesn't require that and there's always a bunch of people in the comments roasting them for AI use. This is waaay better. |

As the other said, this is the rules of the community. I like the disclosure part, not so much the [IAP] in the title, I would not personally characterize my project as an "IA project" but I understand waiting to promote 100% IA free projects. |

I would like to note that tinytinyrss has a bigger binary size than tinyfeed, making tinyfeed the tiniest option despite the misleading name /s |

Lots of options to handle your feeds on a self hosted setup. What are your criteria? What are you trying to achieve? We need something specific to make recommendations. I would argue that where tinyfeed shines is that it does not require any dependency of any kind: not database to setup, not configuration, no nothing. You just give it a list of feeds and it generates a page for you. What you do with that page is up to, so it adapts well to lots of workflow. The trade off with that approach is that it is stateless so if you like to do bookkeeping (like read later / favorites features) then it's not for you. |

That happens here too, it's just easier when you make AI disclosure a scarlet letter. |
