I need something new! I play Polytopia pretty much every day 😂 I still love it but it would be nice to try something else. I'm after any kind of puzzle or strategy game that has no ads (I don't mind paying for this). But also, I'd just like to hear what folks are enjoying playing generally :)

If you're okay with emulating, you could always use a foss emulator, Advance Wars 2 for GBA is pretty solid, Fire Emblem is also good.

Depending on how powerful your device is and how much complexity you'd like, there's also Unciv (foss Civilization V clone).

Hive.
I think it is listed as Hive with AI on the playstore if you are on Android.

Chess like Strategy

I have the physical version of Hive and it's great.

I've been playing Melvor Idle (an idle game based on Runescape) for more than a year now. Still more to go!

Seconding Advance Wars, what a banger. I find myself sticking more and more to older games I enjoyed as a child lately, get yourself an emulator and own your games.

I've never used an emulator on my phone actually, but might give this a go - thank you.

I have such good memories of playing Advance Wars on the DS.

I've only ever played the original and 2 but both in the GBA slot of my DS lite. Good times.

There are many decent options, I was running Lemuroid which lets you emulate all sorts of things, and it's free and open source so no surprises.
