Mercy Hollow Amusements, est. 1971.

You inherit a dead roadside arcade and its one working machine: a wooden plinko cabinet in the basement. Drop tokens through short timed nights. Spend the takings on the town between them: the barbershop, the diner, the Henderson house on Elm Street. The machine pays better every night.

Every building you buy turns off one of its lights.

Three acts.

  • Act I: The arcade. Plinko with real physics. Aim your drops, chase the centre bucket, build streaks. Gold balls, splitter pegs, income that climbs from dollars to billions. A town map of a hundred-odd buildings to buy your way across. It does not stay cosy.
  • Act II: The ledger. The town is dark and the machine has a list. Six nights. It asks for people by name.
  • Act III: The woods. First person, a flashlight, a county road, six pages, and something that only moves when you are not looking at it. Find the way out.

A few hours start to finish. Made in Godot.
