Actually it holds up quite well because of the subject matter. Unlike something like Toy Story 1 which came after this. In that Pixar were portraying real world things. And trying to capture realistic lighting. But unable to actually do it. With reboot they were portraying a world imagined inside of a computer. And while we might be able to do even better today than they were able to. For the time it really does encapsulate and capture the vibe.

The first season is pretty cheesy and kid-friendly from what I recall, but the later seasons got a bit of a darker, more serious vibe (I remember even my dad taking an interest in those later seasons when it was on TV back in the day).

it really needs a CRT filter or something. it's like too shitty and too clean all at the same time.
