In a shocking interview, former Mossad director Yossi Cohen openly boasts about supplying “booby-trapped and spy-manipulated equipment,” including Hezbollah’s pagers, to “countries all over the world.”
Cohen: “Do you know how much treated equipment we have in these countries? … Not only booby-trapped, but spy-manipulated equipment… in all countries you can imagine.”
Cohen claims he personally “invented the method” between 2002–2004, the same period Israel expanded covert electronic operations across Lebanon and beyond.
He describes the “pager method” as a technological weapon first tested during the Second Lebanon War, implying that some targets’ devices were feeding Mossad live intelligence.
This is the first time a top Israeli intelligence figure has publicly acknowledged a global sabotage network embedded in commercial and communications hardware confirming what many states have long accused Israel of: using technology as a Trojan horse.
