And if possible, aim to pierce the lungs of your dreams, not the bowels. And be especially careful not to puncture the bladder or you will spoil the dream meat. Easy mistakes to make when field-dressing your dreams.

Pursuing, following, chasing, they're all synonyms with different connotations. To chase implies haste and a degree of recklessness.
