Tpd are tons per day. Even with a scientific background I didn't know that.

Ok, so they will build a gas liquefaction plant, but where does the energy come from?

It shouldn't matter since this can be green, just like electricity from the grid.

Sure, but is there a large excess and battery bank?

I think eventually, that will be true across the board.

Eventually this compressor will be eol. It's not sufficient planning.

Everything has an EOL. It is concern trolling to worry about it for green technologies.

I feel like brown and Black hydrogen green washing is a valid concern. A machine is as good as what it is used for and this one has key dangers.

People worried about the grid being powered by coal, therefore justifying their opposition to EVs and other ideas. But just as the grid got greener, so will hydrogen production. So it is not something to really worry about.

I am not saying any of that but voicing concerns about how they plan to fuel it. A ton of hydrogen holds about 33MWH or about 70 MW an hour +losses and energy use of the facility. This is not small potatoes.

People made similar claims against wind and solar power in the past. They kept on harping how we would need hundreds of GWs of that stuff, with the implication that it is impossible.

But lo and behold, that happened anyways. We now have many hundreds of GWs of wind and solar.

It highly likely that something similar will happen with green hydrogen. We will have insane production capacity for it in the long run, despite how implausible it may see seem in the short run.
