Theme: Wild Thang Wednesday - Man, this soap is wild! What's even wilder? The trifecta. Things that make this wild thing wild:

• The trick was all new in the box. All of it was made and sold in Poland. I've never been there!
• It was a really nice and comfortable shave but I literally had Wars. On my face.
• There's a bunch of tariffs between me and the maker of this stuff. Dee-zell prices are through the roof globally. Total spend: $13.50 with free shipping. That's crazy wild.

Three bullets of wildness for justification. QED.

Wars Classic by Miraculum is woody, powdery, warm spicy perfume with balsamic undertones. Has notes of cedar, sandalwood and woody notes.

Daily Challenge: Get PFAS out of our shaves! I didn't really change anything for this challenge. I don't use tap water for lathering. I have a water well and it's super hard. I do soften a sink full of well water with citrus acid for washing up face and gear at the end of the shave.

For blooming and lather building, I use the same water I use for making espresso. It's water collected from a geyser in the Ouachita Mountains near Norman, AR. It's neither hard nor soft and it's not doped by any municipality. It tastes good and has a good mouth feel. Well, it does before I put soap in it.

Theme justification - This was wild enough for me. I used my hands to apply the lube to my face and had a shitty three pass shave. I hope this satisfies the djudges' sadistic need to see their fellow community members shave with questionable substances.

My wife and I have been trying to have our first kid for a little over a year and a half, and this tube of goop was part of that effort. The whole process was stressful, so expensive, time consuming, and frustrating.

BUT, we're expecting our first kid this June! :)

Relevant Post Shave or Frag - I went with a couple of my wife's favorite scents to follow up the chemical scent left on my face by the Pre-Seed Fertility Lubricant. A lovely burst of citrus and herbs to hide the shame of what I'd just done.

Daily challenge - I did not use any tap water for today's shave. The "lather" used no water, and I rinsed my face with bottled water.

$FOF - 4711 isn’t really an aftershave, but it works as one if you accept that it’s gone in twenty minutes. Bergamot, lemon, and orange with neroli and petitgrain, a bit of lavender and rosemary underneath. The recipe goes back to 1792 and it smells like it. Bright, simple, and a little old-fashioned.

Ramblin’ Man is Stirling’s Creed Himalaya dupe. Citrus on top, sandalwood in the middle, musk, cedar, amber, and ambergris in the base. The citrus opening picks up where 4711 leaves off, and then spends the rest of the day in wood and musk.
