I haven't quite heard The Sounds for a while, honestly. However, Maja Ivarsson took part in Melodifestivalen 2025, the national selection concert series for Eurovision. She advance to the final and didn't win. A bit later, she released an EP and toured in her native Sweden. I think, she toured solo while the band toured without her during the same year.

wait, she went for melodifestivalen? did not see that coming. and the band touring without her the same year, did they get another singer or just play on

Yeah, she tried her chance in Melodifestivalen last year. As for touring with the band, I got some sources stating that she missed the US leg due to the visa issues, however she also wanted to focus more on her solo tour.
